JOEYS ROOM
Our Joeys Room provides a warm, nurturing and secure environment for our youngest children in the centre, generally from 0-18 months of age. Our qualified and passionate educators provide a responsive, play-based program guided by each child’s individual interests, development and routines. Through nurturing relationships and meaningful learning experiences, we support children to explore and discover while building confidence, independence and a strong sense of belonging. We value each child’s voice, using both verbal and non-verbal cues to guide our interactions, experiences and daily program. The safety and wellbeing of every child is at the heart of our practice, with our educators following current child-safe and safe-sleep practices and guidelines.
ECHIDNAS ROOM
Our Echidnas Room provides a fun, nurturing and engaging environment for our toddlers, generally from around 18 months to 2.5 years of age. At this exciting stage of development, children are becoming increasingly curious, independent and eager to explore the world around them. Our qualified and passionate educators provide a play-based program guided by each child’s interests, strengths and individual developmental needs. Through hands-on experiences, play and positive relationships, we support children to develop their communication, confidence, independence and emerging social skills. Children are encouraged to explore, make choices, build relationships and begin developing the skills to express their needs and emotions. Our flexible daily routines allow children plenty of time for active play, exploration, connection and rest, while ensuring each child feels safe, supported and valued.
WOMBATS ROOM
Our Wombats Room provides an engaging and supportive environment for our older toddlers and preschool-aged children, generally from around 2.5 years up to 4 years of age. As children become increasingly independent and confident, our play-based program provides opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills and take a more active role in their learning. Our educators support children to build confidence, independence, communication, problem-solving skills and positive relationships with their peers. Through a balance of child-led play, intentional teaching and meaningful everyday experiences, children are encouraged to make choices, express their ideas, develop self-help skills and build a strong sense of belonging within their group. Our Wombats program supports each child at their individual stage of development, providing a positive foundation as they continue their early learning journey and prepare for their transition into our funded Kindergarten program.
CROCS ROOM
Our Crocs Room is home to our funded Three and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten program, integrated within our long day care setting. Led by qualified Early Childhood Teachers and supported by our experienced educators, our kindergarten program runs daily from 8:30am to 4:00pm. During these hours, children participate in a play-based program combining child-led learning with intentional teaching, responsive to each child’s individual interests, strengths and stage of development. School readiness is embedded throughout our program, with a focus on developing the whole child. We support children to build confidence, independence, resilience, communication and social skills, while encouraging curiosity, problem-solving, creativity and a positive attitude towards learning. Children are supported to develop the skills they need to manage routines, build relationships, express their needs and become increasingly independent as they prepare for their transition to school. Outside of our funded kindergarten hours, children continue to be supported within our long day care program, providing families with the flexibility of care across our full opening hours.
