OUR PHILOSOPHY at pearcedale day care & kindergarten
We strongly encourage parental input and participation and endeavor to develop warm, trusting, and professional relationships with all families attending our centre. We support and respect the role of our families.
We aim to make the children feel safe, secure, respected, valued, cared for, happy, encouraged, and reassured.
We endeavor to provide an environment that encourages social skills which will be used later in life. We encourage the children to interact positively and show empathy toward their peers.

Due to the current restrictions we aren’t able to show new families through our centre, so we thought we would create a video to give you a tour!

NURSERY ROOM
Our room is run by fully qualified passionate educators who endeavour to offer a play-based program that is built around the child’s interest and developmental needs. Our program is enriched with learning opportunities to allow the children to explore and discover, whilst promoting the development of self-confidence, independence, and positive self-esteem.
We believe in the child’s voice and many of our activities are guided by the child’s interactions and verbal and non-verbal ques.
We promote child safe standards and strictly follow SIDS guidelines.

TODDLER ROOM
Our Toddler’s Room program is run by fully qualified engaging educators, and our program at Pearcedale day care and kindergarten is based strongly on our children’s ideas and interests and is developed through working closely with each child and their family.
We facilitate and encourage children to build on their knowledge and interests as they explore ideas and concepts, have experiences and gain understanding. We believe in the child’s voice and many of our activities are guided by the child’s interactions and verbal and non-verbal ques.
We promote child safe standards and strictly follow SIDS guidelines.

THE 3'S ROOM
Our 3-year-old room is run by wonderful, caring fully qualified educators. Our program is based on developmental observations and interests of the individual children and the group.
Our early childhood setting allows children to learn as they discover, create, improvise, and imagine. Inviting classrooms encourage children to problem -solve, seek clarification, create, and lay the building blocks for further learning.
Using knowledge, our educators extend children’s learning by open ended questions, feedback, challenging ideas and encouraging children to seek their own answers and independently discovery.

KINDER ROOM
Our kinder room program runs everyday and is led by a qualified Kindergarten teacher. Our program embraces a play-based philosophy. We foster a natural, positive, and stimulating learning environment, encouraging creative thinking, budding artistic passions, imaginative play and most importantly, as part of the young journey, embracing and nurturing their developing positive sense of self. To provide the best care for your child we use Observation as a primary tool in assessment. It is through observation that we can become aware of what children know and can do, and use this information to ensure that we provide experiences that are closely linked to their ability and needs.

KINDERGARTEN 4+ TRANSITION TO SCHOOL PROGRAM
Our 4- year old Kindergarten program ensures that all children are ready for the transition to school following the following year – physically, cognitively, socially, and emotionally. Through attending a long day Kindergarten program, children are forming a routine similar to that at school, with a strong focus on independence and responsibility. Our school readiness program and regular communication with local school (Pearcedale primary school), including transition plans, ensures support for both children and parents at this time as well as a smooth transition to school.
